Inventory Control Specialist/Vendor Management Support

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing the logistics pertaining to supply chain management by managing client and Clarity inventory, recognizing and resolving quantity discrepancies as a result of an inventory reconciliation, and identifying when inventory needs to be replenished.  The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for initiating orders, receiving and reconciling inventory, and providing recommendations on how to make inventory control responsibilities more efficient. The Inventory Control Specialist will also be instrumental in supporting the vendor management team with internal projects pertaining to inventory and process improvements for the department.  The position reports to the Director of Operations.

 

Essential Functions

  • Plan and schedule inventory material timelines and sequence activities to meet delivery dates and reduce costs
  • Solving problems when inventory/material issues arise and coordinate resolution
  • Analyze usage and prepare quantitative statements that help with inventory control responsibilities
  • Provide support to Customer Experience Team, Operations,  Project Management Team and Sales Team
  • Collaborate and communicate with both internal and external resources to assist in securing materials within established project timelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Required

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with inventory control
  • Possess high-level knowledge and proficiency in purchasing and inventory management
  • Direct work experience in inventory, purchasing and supply capacity
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office 2013 Applications; including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
