Training Specialist

The Training Specialist is responsible for administering, organizing and conducting training for professional development with a focus on assessing, designing and developing training programs. The trainings and development must be designed to help advance the skills and productivity of Clarity’s employees and enhance the customers’ experience. The Training Specialist maintains records of training activities, in the LMS, and gauges and monitors the effectiveness of the programs. The Training Specialist reports to the Director of Training and Client Experience.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver and/or author quality instructor-led and e-Learning training courses to all Clarity employee
  • Communicate technical information to users in non-technical, clear terms
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills gaps, design curriculum, and ensure training needs are met
  • Develop and analyze training course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions
  • Implement revisions to course materials as needed to improve training effectiveness
  • Develop training guides, quick reference guides and documents that support training efforts
  • Provide on-going support to departments, teams and end-users
  • Maintain proficiency with all Clarity products
  • Perform training coordination duties including people and room resource management as required
  • Recommends and assists in the selection of external training resources as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education Required

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience

Knowledge & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in delivering training programs
  • Technical training, technical writing and curriculum development experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of training and learning methodologies (ADDIE, Adult Learning Theory)
  • Experience using a learning management tool
  • Familiar with PDLC a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Captivate, and Camtasia

  • Must be able to sit at a desk 80 percent of the time
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets
  • Must be able to operate a computer and multimedia equipment
  • Must be able to frequently communicate via telephone and in front of groups
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel
